Synthetic Fluorspar

Synthetic Fluorspar is a material designed specifically for slag conditioning. Waste calcium fluoride slurry is used to make synthetic fluorspar. Synthetic fluorspar replaces natural fluorspar in the metallurgical industry. Calcium fluoride slurry is calcined in rotary kilns at temperatures of 430-820 ° Celsius to obtain grained synthetic fluorspar. We have developed an innovative production process for synthetic fluorspar of metallurgical grade that uses waste calcium fluoride sludge. This method allows synthetic fluorspar to be produced at very competitive  costs than natural fluorspar obtained from other countries. Synthetic Fluorspar totally replaces fluorspar while lowering and preserving slag viscosity at the desired levels.

In the Cement Industry It mainly acts as a flux that speeds up the calcination process. The addition of synthetic fluorspar provides savings in thermal energy by allowing the kiln to operate at a lower temperature, thus saving fuel.
